looking shortened time
They said he shortened everything up, which is what we were looking for. Now you just bide your time here and see where we're at as we go along.
ball catch guys middle
They're very quick. When those guys in the middle catch the ball like that, that's pretty good.
few guys hurt last people realize series
A lot of people thought we were going to the World Series last year. They just didn't realize how young our lineup was. And when we got a few guys hurt, it really hurt us.
bit both conversation good helped learned parties sure thinking
A lot of things got straightened out. It was a good conversation, ... Both parties learned a little bit about what each other is thinking and what's going on. It helped me. I'm sure it helped J.C. I learned a lot from him.
eight good hit innings joe nine normally starter threw whacked works zone
They kind of whacked us around. Joe was up in the zone and they pretty much hit everything he threw up there. And that's a pretty good formula. You get your starter to go eight or nine innings and you hit three-run homers. Normally it works out pretty good.
ball catching good middle playing
They have good pitching. They can throw. They got a good middle of the lineup. They're catching the ball in the middle of the infield. They're playing very aggressive. They're doing the things that we have to do to get back in it.
baseball game great playing
They're playing the game over there. That's a great baseball team.
free hard lucky market money sign thrown
There's a lot of money being thrown around out there and it's hard to get in the market and sign free agents. We're lucky on this one.
concern ends pitchers ready season
There's concern with everybody. What if one of your pitchers ends up in the bullpen? How is he going to be ready for the season without getting innings?
bad good major positive sort torn
At least there's a positive in that he's not going to have any sort of major reconstruction done on the tendon or anything torn up in there. It's good bad news.
B-A-K-E-R. You can write that. You could even underline that. He'll be in that rotation.
baker base breaking came chance fastball finally gave good great high innings runs score
Baker was fantastic. He used his breaking ball, his changeup and had the high fastball working. He located pretty good. He gave us a great chance to win. It's unfortunate we couldn't score enough runs for him. Rincon came in and had two good innings for us, got out of the one, which was huge. Then we finally come up with the big base hit.
baker ball games threw
Baker threw the ball great. He pitched very well in some big games.
bake stock whacked zone
Bake just didn't have it today. He was up in the zone and got whacked around, and they scored and scored and scored. We're not going to put too much stock into it, other than it was disappointing.
