checked joint
When Shannon told us it popped out of joint out there and popped back in, you have to get it checked out to see what happened,
good innings news ready somewhat start stretched whether
The good news is that we'll get his innings stretched out and he'll be somewhat ready to start the season. Whether it's here right away or down the road, he'll be on that schedule.
We can't penalize him for not being here.
hard hit joe tough
We really didn't have much of a chance. Carlos (Silva) got hit pretty hard and Joe (Mays) couldn't get anything down and they killed him. When you are down that much offensively, it's tough to get back in it.
double forth guys home keeping mental plate throw trying
Trying to throw out guys at home plate when we should be keeping the double play, ... It's the mental part of the game, and that's where we have to toughen up again. We're going to put forth a big effort.
believe believes pitchers talk walks
Walks will kill you, and we talk about that a lot. Our pitchers believe in that. Silva really believes in it, obviously.
hits
When you have 13 hits and you've got no runs, there's not many explanations for it,
definitely difference
Without our 1-2 guys, that definitely makes a difference in our lineup.
knew sending
We knew weren't sending him out there for 120 pitches,
battling people trying
We're trying to survive. We've got injuries. We've got people out. I think we're battling pretty good.
changed good played team
We played a pretty good team that has a changed lineup. We battled. We're OK. I like how we competed here.
edge giving good spot
We're not giving him a spot by any means. He has a good edge in there. ... But he still has to come out.
good pitching runs score six stop time work
We actually scored six runs out there today, and most of the time when we score six that's good enough for our pitching to stop them. It just didn't work today. They were swinging, and we didn't make enough good pitches.
best family game hearts hoping prayers puck situation today tough turns waiting whatever
We did the best we could today and the game was whatever -- it was a game. Our hearts and prayers are all with Puck and his family and we're all waiting like everyone else is to see how everything turns out. We're hoping for the best and we know it's a tough situation going on out there.
