baseball game running
As long as I'm running this baseball team, we will play this game with respect.
bad game heartbeat playing slow wheel
As I've told him, we really have to slow this thing down. This is a thing that could come back in a heartbeat with one bad movement. He's out there just playing catch, but if you have to get in a game and wheel and let it fly, that's when something is going to happen. If he does it again, he's set way back.
bad game lousy night played
That was a bad night. We played a lousy game all around.
bit calm couple good spring trying
That's where Lew has been working hard. There were a couple of times in spring where he just flung it again. We're trying to get him to be a bit calmer out there. He's a good outfielder. He just has to calm down.
advantage mistakes
That's why they've got their record, because they take advantage of other teams' mistakes.
arms couple help maybe people power pressure
That's why getting some people up here is going to help. Maybe a couple power arms like a (Travis) Bowyer and maybe a (Francisco) Liriano will help take the pressure off as we go here into September, where we don't have to kill those guys.
baseball cure figure good home light maybe shining sometime
That's your shining light right now. Maybe this is a cure all. Maybe we'll come home and play better baseball. Sometime we are going to have to figure out a way to play better on the road, too, but first come home and play good baseball and then go from there.
light played shining
That's your bright, shining light right now: We've played well at home.
people
That's just the way it is. You just have to do what you've got to do when you've got people gone.
clubhouse gone guys knowing respect
That's not the way we do things here. We have too much respect for Joe. If we did that, the guys in that clubhouse ... let's just say they would be very upset, knowing what Joe's gone through to get back here.
choked nice
That one kind of choked me up. I thought that was a pretty nice thing by big Buck.
ball chance double hard hits playing turn
You're playing in between so if he hits the ball hard you have a chance to turn a double play. But he hit a little topper that you're not going to be able to do much with.
bad blow game good guy hit looking power talking
You take the good and bad when you're talking about a power hitter. We're looking for someone who's going to hit those three-run homers and get you back into a game or blow the game open. He's a guy that has that ability.
hold obviously seen together
You never really know how it's going to work. You think you can hold it together for a while, but obviously we've seen a lot of things change. There's really not a lot you can do about it.
