extra handle player position
I don't know how we'll handle that. I don't know if we'll take an extra position player or keep it at 12.
serious three
I don't know how serious it is. Hopefully, it is not the kind that will keep him out two or three weeks. We have to be careful.
anybody hitting less runners score seemed sixth third
Before that (the sixth inning), we had a lot of opportunities. We just couldn't get anything across. Actually we couldn't get anybody to third with less than two outs. It seemed like we were always hitting with runners on first and second. To score runs, you have to get opportunities with runners on third and less than two outs. We haven't been able to do that much.
Hopefully, it is no more than a week.
command good matter needed sure time tough
Health-wise, the other day it was good, but his command was not close. It was not good as we needed it to be. We just want to make sure when he comes up here he is not going to get hammered. It doesn't matter how good you throw, if you don't have your location, you're going to have a tough time getting through an inning in this league.
against bullpen couple faced good last mix san
He pitched really good against us the couple of times we faced San Diego, so he's in the mix for that last couple of bullpen spots.
faced last lift teams tempo today year
He pitched as well today as he did in Chicago. It's a big lift for us. Those last two teams he's faced are not slouches. His tempo was outstanding. I like his tempo. Last year his tempo was slow.
above fit goes good guys league major notch possibly third utility whether
Graff, obviously, goes in a utility role, but probably a notch above that. We need to get him in the lineup as much as we possibly can, whether it is first, third or second. We'll be able to give those guys a day off here and there. Graff is a good Major League player. He's a good fit for our team.
player talk
I can't tell you, because I need to talk to the player first. It's probably not going to be a surprise.
saturday sunday swings took
He took swings Saturday or Sunday and he didn't do too good.
ball breaking fastball good threw velocity
He threw the ball well. He had good velocity on his fastball and a good breaking ball. He was impressive.
felt good middle threw
He threw good but, in the middle of the game, I don't think he felt real comfortable.
He said it was a deke, so we're going with that,
asking call good members
I don't think the call was made correctly. They have a good crew, and I think they did the right thing by asking the other members of the crew.
