freak
He's done it before, he understands situations. He doesn't freak out.
focus four game nature running stop
When they got the four runs, we can't stop playing. We've got to keep playing. The nature of the game is to keep going. I didn't think the focus was there at the end after they got the four runs. That can't happen. I'm kind of running out of answers.
consistent overall results strike
Results are everything, I guess. Denny just has to be more consistent in the strike zone. Overall he was good, but could be better.
biggest issue pitching whether
Pitching wasn't the biggest issue. We know he can pitch. It's a durability issue and whether he maintains his stuff.
regular run
If this was the regular season, he'd play. But I don't want it to run into the season.
words
He understands that he wasn't ready. Those were his words to me.
bother seemed
He would let something like that bother him in the past. It seemed like he got better after that.
last mac obvious year
He was the obvious choice. He's got the stuff, and he did it last year when Mac wasn't available, so he has some experience.
bothered couple elbow sore tells weeks wish
He tells us he's been bothered by this sore elbow for a couple of weeks. I wish he'd told us a couple of weeks ago.
likes
He's come a long way, ... He likes being in that situation.
great job nice rotation
He did a great job. He's nice to have in the rotation with that kind of stuff.
kansas saw
He was probably better than we saw him over in Kansas City. He was good.
games great runs scoring start win
He was great the way he got out of it that inning. He's going to win a lot of games for us. We've just got to start scoring some runs for him.
ballpark bit few gets hearts maybe pitches settled spring stadium stuff threw throwing time training
He was good. I know he threw a few too many pitches in the first inning, but he settled in. You know, I think a lot of times the first time in a real stadium other than a Spring Training ballpark gets your hearts started a little more -- maybe throwing through his stuff a little bit -- but I thought he was really good.
