fun happening night perfect playing reach scenario situation trying
You know it's fun to see some things happening a little bit. It hasn't been great, we know it's not going to be a perfect situation or scenario because our expectations were one place and we didn't reach them. But you always have to look for positives. You're playing every night and that's what we've been trying to do.

We got the lead, we just couldn't hold it. That hasn't happened very often.

We get a single by the second hitter in our lineup, and then Redmond comes up and hits a ball in the gap. It gets you rollin'.

We can beat anybody with the way we pitch. And that's what we plan to do this year.

We haven't made contact with him, so we don't really know why (he hasn't reported). We are sending people to his house.
hearts perspective prayers situation takes tough
We all put things in perspective here. That pretty much takes away from anything you do at the ballpark. Our hearts and our prayers are all with Puck. We know it's a tough situation out there.

We're really happy with where he's at. He needs to go down and get some consistent at-bats on an everyday basis.

We know that the Puck Man would want us to go out. They all wanted to go out because they all believed that Puck would say: 'Play the game, boys, and play it the right way.

That was good enough for me. He wants to play. It's frustrating for him not to play. It was driving him crazy. On the bench in Chicago, he was going nuts. Hopefully, we can get him healthy and keep him on the field.

We've got to play a very good Detroit team, and obviously, we didn't swing the bats very well in the first two games (in Kansas City). So, righting the ship, that comes over a long period of time.

We thought we had a chance to sweep them, but that's a great team over there. Two out of three I guess we'll have to take.

Guys are trying. Guys are out there playing. You've also got to score some runs, too. Our starters haven't been getting it done. Our offense has to pick them up.

Guys aren't ready to throw every day. Guys aren't ready to throw four or five innings.
