bats certainly eight enjoying runs swinging
We have been swinging the bats very well. I don't know if we're going to be able to put up eight or 13 runs every day during the season, but certainly I'm enjoying it right now.
Well, I wanted to go home. I wanted to see what was going on in Houston,
chance good home series win
Well, we're not in a good spot. We had a chance to win this ballgame. We have to go home and regroup. We'll make a series out of this.

good
Well, we're not in a good spot. They can't do anything wrong.
early hit needed
We had him early on the ropes a little bit. We couldn't come up with a big hit when we needed it.
mess plain
We're winning. Don't mess with it while we're winning. We're winning, plain and simple.
command seen struggled
That was a surprise. We haven't seen that from Oswalt. He struggled with his command and just didn't look comfortable in that first inning. This is very much uncharacteristic of the way he's pitched.
applaud ball beats bunch great guy hanging next pitches takes tough
That was a great at-bat. You never know if that has anything to do with the next guy, but when a guy makes a bunch of pitches on you, and he nubs the ball to shortstop and he beats it out, I think it takes something out of you. You've got to applaud Willy for hanging tough in that at-bat.
extremely
That's the kind of thing that's going to make your lineup extremely tough. You can't get through them all.
couple last louis played seem
That's unbelievable. That's what St. Louis has done so well the last couple of years. They seem to have played real well in our division.
calling pennant players rookie
I wasn't a rookie in pennant races, but I was a rookie calling the shots. The players made me look good.
care
Whole lot of Dontrelle Willis. A little more than I care to see.
luke trying work
(I was) trying to get something on the board. Luke Scott's a low-ball hitter, and (Willis) is a low-ball pitcher. I like the matchup. It didn't work so well.
