feeling happy knew pitch
I was happy to see the way he threw. We did not see that at all in spring, but from the first pitch I knew he was feeling good.
andy feed rocket roy shy sort
I think Rocket and Andy really like being on the big stage. They sort of feed off that a little bit. Roy doesn't shy down from it at all, but his personality is just much more low-key.
certainly chris confident determined good last playing results saw wants
I think Chris is a very confident player. I wouldn't say he's more confident (than last year), but he's more determined than ever that he wants more playing time. We certainly saw good results today.
excitement generate helps noise
It does generate a lot of noise and it's a lot of fun. And I think we play for that. We play for that excitement and that noise. It helps us a little bit.
brad plain
I think if Brad had made his pitches, we would have had a different outcome, plain and simple,
bring clutch guy hits
I think he's the guy that can bring some clutch hits for us. I'm going to do the right thing for the team.
I think he'll go as long as he wants.
ahead count deep goes innings last pitch point quite seen successful
I think he is back, but he is not quite to the point we have seen him pitch before. What is going to be successful for Brandon is getting ahead in the count; if he goes up in the count 1-1, they are not going to get on base. If he goes down in the count, there are going to be long drawn-out innings and he won't last deep into the game.
bothering gone hip offense stone
I think his hip was bothering him a little. It's very uncharacteristic of him to have that kind of inning. But I don't think that's the story. Our offense has just gone stone cold.
signs
We just went over signs again. Just a refresher course.
talk
You'll have to talk to him about that. He'll be here tomorrow.
scouts trust
You just have to trust your scouts in that regard.
accept fact high hit
You just have to accept the fact that you're probably not going to hit as high as you know you can,
far
You can be so close, ... yet so far away.
