beat close football good plays takes
We had our opportunities and were close on a few, but we didn't make the plays it takes to beat a good football team.
accomplish enable forward goal good move players saw team trying
Our No. 1 goal is trying to find 53 players that will enable us to have the kind of team that can move forward and accomplish the things we want to accomplish. I saw a lot of good things early.
drawing good
I think what they're doing is good for the game. They're drawing a lot of attention. They haven't really been challenged.
adverse difficult extremely good guys handling hard job played season until
Our guys played hard until the end again. They did a good job of handling a lot of adverse situations. It's been an extremely difficult season for all of us.
football good responsibility strides three win
Our responsibility was to win football games, and we made good strides the first three seasons, but we didn't get it done this year. I'm disappointed that things had to end this way.
good point
From that point on, we really didn't get a lot done. We're going to have to take a good look at it as we go through the preseason process.
confident exactly good players worst
To me, the worst thing you can do is do too many things, where the players are uncertain. I don't think they play as aggressive. The most important thing is, come Sunday, that they're confident and feel good going out there. They know exactly what to do, and they know exactly how to do it.
beat convert football good team
To beat a good football team like Jacksonville, you've got to convert all of your opportunities.
philosophy similar work
When you look at backgrounds, I think we've got very similar philosophies. That always makes it easier, too, if you know the person you're going to work for, you know what their philosophy is.
We've got to be able to run. It's not a secret. They want to attack. They want to get us on our heels. We know what we have to do.
believe
We believe ... he will be out for the year.
careful courage future quick sacrifice stay stick
You have to be careful and stay with your step-by-step program. Then, you have to have the courage to stick with it and not sacrifice the future for the quick fix.
care chunks eat hard plays taken team work
Big plays like that are hard to overcome. One play to eat up that kind of yardage is tough. For us to be the kind of team we want to be we can't give up yardage in big chunks like that. We'll go back and work on that and get it taken care of.
cannot care great job taking turn
We have to do a better job of taking care of the ball. We know the Steelers do a great job of it and they do not turn it over much. We cannot turn it over.
