expect hidden hole
Obviously, that's something we have to get corrected. When you put yourself in such a hole and give up that much hidden yardage, you can't expect to win.
corey question today
Right now, if we had to play this week, Corey Bradford would be a question mark. He's getting an MRI today on his groin.
decided help improve joe move needed offensive promoted turn
We decided that we needed to make a move to improve our offense. We promoted Joe to offensive coordinator because we feel that he will be able to help us turn this around.
example excellent great improved player production works
I think he's done an excellent job. He's just a great example of a young player that works hard, has improved and the production has showed up on the field.
knack quickness rushing
I think his quickness and speed. He's got a knack for rushing the passer.
anytime awful begins difference four games hard prove statistics win
It all begins with the takeaway/giveaway. Anytime you go four games and don't get a takeaway and you're minus-8, it really doesn't make a whole lot of difference what else you do. Statistics prove that it's awful hard to win when you don't get a takeaway.
accomplish enable forward goal good move players saw team trying
Our No. 1 goal is trying to find 53 players that will enable us to have the kind of team that can move forward and accomplish the things we want to accomplish. I saw a lot of good things early.
drawing good
I think what they're doing is good for the game. They're drawing a lot of attention. They haven't really been challenged.
defense matter players
I think what it comes down to, no matter what defense you're in, it's a matter of players going out and making plays. I think many times (the scheme) is overrated.
totally
I think what you have is two totally different situations.
ball empty excellent execution game knew last leaves lose phases played reason talented team three time turned
I think any time you lose a game like today, it leaves you with an empty feeling. We played a talented team and there is a reason why that team was 15-1 last year. We knew going in that it was going to take excellent execution on our part in all three phases of our team. Unfortunately we did not get that, we turned the ball over early.
penalties special
That's way too many penalties on special teams.
deal effort felt focused game last playoff plays teams watch
I think that a big part of this game is how you deal with distractions. I've always felt that when you watch teams in the last game of the season, especially if they are out of the playoff race, it comes down to the most focused team and who plays with the most effort comes out on top. It's a challenge.
awful efficient game hard negative offensive sloppy
I think there's an awful lot for us to learn. We were not sharp. We were too sloppy at times with the turnovers and penalties. It's hard to have an efficient offensive game if you have that many negative plays.
