anybody field guy hard league quite team tremendous
He's been a tremendous contributor to that Colts team this year. He's a guy that you always know is on the field because he's got the kind of explosiveness to make plays. So it's hard to think of anybody in the league that's quite like him right now.
athlete continue difference football speed tried work
He's a young guy, I think he'll do nothing but get better. We've tried to continue to work him in more and more. You can see what a difference an athlete like him with speed makes in a football game.
ability mind point question special teams time
There is no question in my mind that we have more playmaking ability in our special teams than we've had at any point in time we've been here.
gotten guys job
We've got a lot of young guys that have gotten on the job training.
areas compete excellent happy improve obviously order positive step team yesterday
We know Jacksonville has an excellent team and in order for us to go over and compete with their team, there are some areas we have to improve in. But yesterday was a very positive step and we're obviously happy to get our first win.
ball consistency moving using
We'll get it squared away. We weren't able to get the kind of consistency we wanted moving the ball because we were using different combinations (of players).
build certainly continued direction hung positive proud step team today together win
Today was certainly a positive step in the right direction. I am proud of the way our team has hung together and continued to battle. We now have to take this win and build on it.
business coach football head heart job obviously soul tough understand win work
Well this obviously has been a long, tough year. I'm disappointed that things had to end this way. I understand this business and I understand your job as a head football coach is to win games. Obviously when you put your heart and soul into something and it doesn't work out the way that you wanted and anticipated, then you're disappointed.
contribute guy special
We've had him working on that. He's a guy we thought could really contribute on special teams.
satisfied takes whatever
We aren't satisfied with where we are and we'll do whatever it takes to get to where we want to go.
base execute happy hard job poise work
We aren't happy where we are. We have to do a better job in the base fundamentals of the game. We have to work hard to keep our poise and to execute under pressure.
adjustment direction forward help move needed performed
We have not performed up to our expectations. We needed to make an adjustment to help us move forward in the direction we want to go.
confident exactly good players worst
To me, the worst thing you can do is do too many things, where the players are uncertain. I don't think they play as aggressive. The most important thing is, come Sunday, that they're confident and feel good going out there. They know exactly what to do, and they know exactly how to do it.
cycles people pittsburgh study swung teams
You look at Pittsburgh and New England. Normally, this is a copycat league. When teams are having success, people are always going to study what they are doing. I also think things go in cycles ... I think it swung back the other way a little bit.
