bring create run stretch stuff time trying
We're trying to run more stuff, and more importantly down the stretch you can see we were just trying to create stuff on the fly. Every time there was a break, I had to bring Wally over.
ball courtney good great love shoots sounds team
I love Courtney Lee. He's a very good player. I know that sounds very simple, but it's true. He does things well. He's a good defender, a great team defender, and he shoots the ball very well.
hopefully
You're always growing as a coach, and I am not done growing, and hopefully I'm not done winning.
history run
I don't think you should ever run from history. You should learn from it and embrace it.
best guys stay suck worrying
As a coach, you've got to do what's best for the team. If guys don't like it, they're going to leave. If they stay and don't like it, well, your team's going to suck anyway. Even if this happens, you still have to do it. You can't coach worrying about any individual.
entire freedom gets whether worrying
You've got to coach worrying about your entire team: whether that gets you a championship or whether that gets you fired. I think it allows you to coach free. You're coaching with freedom because you know you're doing what you think is right.
ask choose gets player standing
The thing a player has to ask himself: 'Do you want to choose winning over standing out?' Dwyane Wade made that choice, and I don't think he gets enough credit.
art beautiful draw game
I do not think you are going to draw art from this game at all. It was not a beautiful game in any way.
improve obviously team veteran whenever
Obviously whenever you can improve your team you're going to do that -- with a veteran or a young guy. But we're in games.
guard sure surprised
I would play him right away. 'There you go. Guard somebody.' And he can do that. I'm sure he'll play. I'd be surprised if he didn't.
beat cause contact dribble force foul hand hands helping shot
Because they go pick-and-roll we wanted to go man-to-man on them and force them to beat us off the dribble or make a shot with a hand in their face. I didn't want them to go to the bucket, cause contact (from a helping big man), and put it in someone else's hands to let them do it at the foul line.
loved saving
I loved it. He was saving his money.
asked good somebody
Somebody asked me, 'How many times are you going to do this. As many as it takes. It's good for the guys, but not for me.
maybe offense run
So maybe sometimes we can run the offense through him at the 2.
