guard sure surprised
I would play him right away. 'There you go. Guard somebody.' And he can do that. I'm sure he'll play. I'd be surprised if he didn't.
felt fought great horrible middle played playing stopped third turn
You just got to feel at some point, it's going to turn our way. I felt horrible for them. They fought their butts off. I thought other than the middle of the third quarter, when we stopped playing for one stretch, I thought we played just great basketball.
chose fourth instead
We chose to make him a decision-maker instead of a scorer in the fourth quarter.
physically played soft team tougher win
We played as soft as a team can be. They were tougher mentally, physically and there was no way we were going to win that game.
defense hard nights played tonight
We played really hard tonight and I thought our defense was phenomenal. On most nights it would have been enough to win.
jackson jones last shoot tony
We narrowed it down to Jackson and then Freddie Jones (who would take the last shot). Tony got up into Jackson, which I thought was the right thing to do, and they had to shoot a fade-away shot.
paul played playing shots sure
We have to make sure that Wally and Paul have shots at the end of the game. I'm disappointed in the loss. We played hard, but we're not playing smart.
games quite seen ugliest
We didn't play well. One of the referees said this was one of the ugliest games he's seen in quite some time. And I told him I agree, but I wanted it to look pretty for us at the end. Unfortunately it didn't.
game halftime second special
Wade was sensational. We said at halftime that he would try to take the game over in the second half, and he did. He's a special player.
enjoys exciting fact floor group playing talent team work
We have a lot of work to do as a team and I can see that. It's exciting because I do see the talent on the floor and I like the fact that this group enjoys playing with each other.
chances game offensive played stretch tonight
We had our chances tonight in the game that we never really played great, never had any offensive rhythm. We had one stretch where we did; other than that, we didn't and we just didn't come through.
great needed road win
You know we're going to make it close. But this was a great win for us. We needed a road win.
cut defense eventually half run second spot team
We never had any rhythm. In the second half the defense was much better and we cut into it a little bit. But when you spot a team (19) points, and that team has Kobe, you know eventually during your run that he is going to make a shot.
came knew last night ready talked understood
You knew they were going to come at you. It was a no-brainer. I don't think we understood that. Last night we came out ready to play and we were focused. We talked about that tonight, but they did it.
