It just didn't make any sense to me. I've never played, managed or coached a game like that. To see a big league game like that is unheard of. I've never seen anything like that. I hope I don't see it again.

He's gone home for personal matters. That's all I can say about it. He's just got permission to go home and take care of a few things. I hate to be so vague, but hopefully this will be taken care of sooner, if not later.

Optimistically, we're hoping he'll be back in the lineup Tuesday, ... Today is Saturday. Hopefully he'll feel good tomorrow and be able to do something, see how it feels on Monday and play Tuesday.

Any time you're in a situation like J.P. is you want every outing to be a good one. I hope to think we're smarter than to put everything on one outing. That's obviously going to be a consideration because we've got to make a decision, but he's had some other outings that have been pretty good.

It was the other extreme, but a guy like Santana can do that to you. He can make things look real lethargic. The game just didn't have a flow to it.
