accomplish plan pleased positive specific stay target tried
We're very pleased about being able to really accomplish a lot of what we set to do. We had a very specific plan when we set out and tried to stay with our plan throughout. And we feel very positive about being on target in many areas.
add best course developing early feeling few fit football given juncture list particular plans played plenty quite since stretch team time week work
There have been at least two years here where we have given the team the whole week off, feeling that we had played plenty of football and that one of the best things that we could do for the team at that particular time was to get it well-rested for the stretch run. Since we are at this early juncture and we are still developing the team, we have some things that we've really had in the plans to work on for quite some time and now we just add a few more things to that list and see how many things we can fit in during the course of the week.
agent free game honest months picking plans
We go from day to day. When he's game ready, he's going to play. I'm really being honest when I say months ago I made plans to go on without him. When he comes back it's going to be like picking up a free agent at midseason.
add based basis concern game list ongoing plan quite
When you have to make a game plan based on 'will he or won't he,' or 'when will we know,' that's just another thing to add to your list of concerns. ... The list of things that concern me on an ongoing basis is getting quite long.
alternate plans player
When you know the player is not going to be there, you make alternate plans and go on,
agent anybody december free given help less might months oriented picking plans provide until
I've given it less thought than anybody else because months ago I made plans to go on without him, ... When he comes back, it's going to be like picking up a free agent at midseason. We'll try to get him oriented to the system. Obviously, he'll help provide something we didn't have the day before. Other than that, we might be going until December without him. I don't think about it.
anticipate bigger calls continue effort eventually maybe offense overall planning result role structure taking terms
No. It will continue to be as things have been. It has always been a collaborative effort here and will continue to be a collaborative effort. Eventually all the calls go through me. I think as a result of some things that transpired in December, I would anticipate maybe taking a bigger role in the overall structure of the planning in terms of what we're going to do on offense and defense.
clear developing intent mind picture plan
He's had two years of developing a very clear picture in his mind of how a really big-time linebacker performs. He had a real plan and a real intent about what he wanted to get done this year.
emphasize team tried
We tried to emphasize with him and the team that things aren't going to go perfect,
bigger circumstance closer eye hotter silent thorough
We try to be very thorough with it. We are very tuned in to those kind of silent circumstances that really can't be detected ... We do try to keep a closer eye on some of the bigger guys, especially during hotter days.
anybody
We got more of what we wanted from him than we did from anybody else.
nice
It would be nice to do; that's for sure,
credit good job organized people pleasing prince proud roles ron understand
It was very pleasing to see. That's what a team's got to do. People understand their roles and their expectations . . . That's a credit to their resilience, and Ron Prince did a good job of getting them organized at halftime, as to what was going to go on, what we were going to call, so they were well-prepped. They can feel proud of what they did tonight.
