al coach coming deal energetic gives golden good great hopefully model owl plus program temple
Al Golden is a very engaging, energetic coach. He has contributed a great deal to our program which hopefully gives him a good model on how to do things right. His coming to Temple is a real plus for the Owl program.
amount banking books-and-reading deal great minimal offense passing percent repeatedly says short yards
One of the Walsh tenets that he says repeatedly in his book, is that in his offense 50 percent of all the passing yardage should come on yards after the catch. So, if that's what you're banking on, if there's not much yards after catch, then you have a lot of short throws, a lot of catches for minimal yardage that don't amount to a great deal of production.
deal noise particular
When you play at home, it's loud, too. You have to deal with noise at each particular place.
boston deal difference great particular positive shown themselves
That's a very positive thing for Boston College, too. I'd like to be able to say the same things about our circumstances every year, but in this particular case, because they have all shown themselves to be effective, it really doesn't make a great deal of difference who plays.
category fell finding games guy step type
In games like this, if your guy makes a play, you win. If their guy makes a play, they win. You've got to step up and make those type of plays. That fell into the category of finding a way to win.
across certain front positions rich spots team
In a lot of ways, it's the most inexperienced team that we've had. We have certain positions that are rich in experience, but, across the board, it's the most inexperienced team that we've had. Not just on the front line, but at some spots all the way through.
fairness move position quite time
In all fairness to Tony, he's started for quite some time at cornerback. We weren't going to move him to a position where he wasn't going to be a starter.

In all fairness to Tony, he's started for quite some time at cornerback, ... We weren't going to move him to a position where he wasn't going to be a starter.
direction might mix moving talk
It's not for sure, but I'd say it's probably moving in that direction, ... Some of it's moving in that direction; some of it's not going as fast. There's no sense speculating. Who we talk about now might not be there Saturday; who's not in the mix right now might be there Saturday.
best eight game giving impossible point quite satisfied team week win
Each team is different. Each team is doing different things at a different level, and each week is a different week. I don't make comparisons, and I think it's impossible to do so. But our team is what it is. It's giving the best that it's got. We're going to try to win every game that we can by as much as we can. If we can do that eight more times by one more point than the other guy's got, I think we'll all be quite satisfied with that.
context issue plays running within
The big issue with running plays are offside linemen cut-blocks, ... Cut-blocks, if done within the context of the move, are legal.
advantage confidence cut speed taking
Not so much more speed . . . but more confidence in making that cut and taking advantage of what was there,
apart caused defense disruptive fall games nature siege turn
They have you under siege most of the game, particularly if they're able to get the lead, then they can really turn it loose. The disruptive nature of their defense historically has caused games to fall apart for the opponent.
certainly fact grind indicative mean name players talented
This is kind of a 'Joe' team. There really are not many name players on the team. It doesn't mean that there aren't some talented players on the team, but there are certainly no big-name players on the team. It's indicative of the fact that we're all the same. They just come in every day and grind it out.
