He served as the head football coach at Wake Forest University from 1981 to 1986 and at the University of Virginia from 2001 to 2009, compiling a career college football coaching record of 85–92. Now that we have (Brown and Cook) here, and we're actually coaching them, we have a much better sense of how quickly they catch on to things and how physically ready they might be, ... That changes the equation and some of the things that are available to us.

It's not for sure, but I'd say it's probably moving in that direction, ... Some of it's moving in that direction; some of it's not going as fast. There's no sense speculating. Who we talk about now might not be there Saturday; who's not in the mix right now might be there Saturday.

Other than the building itself, there's little about the Jets that's the same as it was when we were there. So I don't really know enough about the team to be able to speculate as to how he might fit in. He's a very adaptable guy and his poise and self-confidence enables him to really fit into any environment, and he certainly did that very easily when he went to Atlanta.

If you like to watch linebackers and you don't care that they might be hitting your guys in a couple of days, he's fun to watch.

For the first time, we started to see the player that we saw in training camp. The absence of three or four guys that he got used to running behind last year might be a contributing factor, but I think his injury was it more than anything.

We're very pleased about being able to really accomplish a lot of what we set to do. We had a very specific plan when we set out and tried to stay with our plan throughout. And we feel very positive about being on target in many areas.

That's a credit to their resilience, and Ron Prince did a good job of getting them organized at halftime, as to what was going to go on, what we were going to call, so they were well-prepped. They can feel proud of what they did tonight.
