catching improve polish since solving time trying
Well, we don't have (the minors), ... There's a lot of catching up here to do with Ahmad's game, the things that he hasn't done since Aug. 5 to improve and polish his game. So, we're solving a need as well as trying to get him some action, you know, get him a little time there.
aggressive allowing clearly confidence experience players result towards
We've got some players who have more experience and more confidence, and as a result they've been more aggressive to the ball. They clearly have a better sense of anticipation about where the ball's going as a result of their experience. Their confidence is allowing them to be more aggressive towards the ball.
bit brian center good open quite season
We're working Brian quite a bit at center right now and I'd say there's a good possibility he could open the season there.
certainly close hoping
That was pretty close to being a season-ending injury. I'm certainly hoping that this one is not in that category.
behind falls season setbacks suffer team until whether
That's the way things go. We all suffer setbacks and disappointments. Whether your team falls behind at the half, or your season doesn't get started until the half, that's just the way it goes.
boston deal difference great particular positive shown themselves
That's a very positive thing for Boston College, too. I'd like to be able to say the same things about our circumstances every year, but in this particular case, because they have all shown themselves to be effective, it really doesn't make a great deal of difference who plays.
game himself last matured preparing week
Marcus has really matured as a player, ... The way he went about preparing himself for that game last week was very impressive.
carry pick scramble team tremendous
Marques was pretty spectacular out there today. He can just pick up the team and carry us. That scramble at the end was just a tremendous play.
build consistent game thinking week winning
Winning this game would have done us a lot of good, ... But I'm consistent in my thinking that they're all one. They don't build and they don't subtract. Each week is its own challenge.
bowl care color effort jersey matter name
We don't care who or where. We just want to play. If we can have the same effort we did tonight, it doesn't matter what their name is, what color their jersey is, what bowl it is. If we play the same way we did tonight, we'll be all right.
foolhardy
I think it would be foolhardy to try to do something with him here.
happy situation talked weeks
We've talked for two weeks about the fumble situation and we weren't happy about it,
committed good improve left mark miller outside players playing rotation seemed time today week
We had to play Mark Miller outside today which really just left us with a three-man rotation inside. It seemed like Antonio's time is here. He had a good week of practice. We're committed to playing these young players and the only way they are going to improve is to play them in the game.
emphasized game job moments week
We had emphasized all week long that it was everybody's job in this game to find a way to win. What we put into it is for moments like this -- the satisfaction from accomplishment.
