certainly chance few help helped past
I'll try to do what I can to help the team. Mace has certainly helped me the past few years, so this is his chance to show everyone in the NHL he can play.
bad goal
I just had a bad day and when they got that first goal it just snowballed. Sometimes those things happen.
control job stop win
I play to win and that is about it. My job is to stop the puck. I can't control anything else.
guy guys hard hardest push rule stands
In the past, if a guy comes up to the net, you can cross-check him and push him out of the way. Now you can't do anything. He just stands there. You have two of their guys there and two of our guys there and it's really hard to see the puck. That's the hardest part about the rule changes.
definitely fight moment playing starting tournament whoever
I'm definitely going to fight for the job. It's up to the coaches, we'll see what happens. I definitely feel I have a chance. Usually in this tournament it's whoever is playing better at that moment when it comes to the starting goalie.
good obviously pleased team work
I'm obviously pleased that we're in a really good position. I really like our team and that hasn't always been the case. It's still going to take a lot of work to get in the playoffs, but that's where you have the fun.
fancy stop trying
I'm just trying to stop the puck. There's nothing fancy about it.
neck shot taken
I have never taken a shot like that to my neck in a game. It was scary.
guy ice middle seconds walking
In a 2-2 game, there's no way their guy should be walking down the middle of the ice with 10 seconds to shoot, deke or do whatever. Breakdowns like that kill you.
almost eight games played point six
I play a lot in the NHL, and I'm tired. At some point you need a little rest. I've played almost 50 games. This would be six games in eight days, or something like that.
front next season work worry
It's comfortable to know you did it, but the work doesn't stop, ... We have the whole season in front of us. Now I'll worry about the next game.
best deal hard job puck stop whatever
That's my job to stop the puck and that's all there is to it. (The Flames) made it hard on me. Whatever comes at you, you've got to try and deal with and do the best you can.
against hard nearly playing practice practicing tough
That's just the way shootouts are. It's kind of hard to get used to shootouts right now. We aren't practicing them because we are playing nearly every day. It's tough to get used to breakaways when you don't practice against them.
crucial good team work
Crucial breakdowns to a good team is not going to work. We had opportunities but it didn't work out.
