deserved developed flow game kevin mess opportunity pace played sort
I thought Kevin played very well and deserved the opportunity to come back and get another start. I thought we developed sort of a flow and pace to our game that showed we were in sync, and I didn't want to mess with that.
jet kevin protect tough
It's pretty tough to come back with jet lag. To protect all of us, especially the goaltender, my inclination is to have Kevin ready.
against game good hockey hunch jersey kevin last played playing sort
We're sort of playing a hunch as much as anything. He's played New Jersey well, and our last good game of hockey was here against them with Kevin in goal, so I don't think that is unreasonable at all.
chance game giving kevin last mind time tough
We have to get Kevin going, get him rolling. I wouldn't mind giving him a chance to go back and play the Islanders. He had a tough game the last time he was there.
guys kevin opportunity wake
Kevin was fine. I thought (the switch) was more an opportunity to wake up 18 guys and make a statement.
game guys hockey kevin managing maybe opportunity ourselves terms wake
Kevin was fine. I thought it was more an opportunity to wake up 18 guys and get ourselves back in the hockey game by doing what we have to do in terms of managing the puck, and maybe give yourself to play 5-on-5 hockey or better.
ask dead kevin
Kevin was dead on the mark. He did everything we could ask of a goaltender.
against explain game good guys kevin maybe played problem start
Henrik played fine, I have no problem with that at all, but Kevin had a really good game against these guys to start the season. Those are those intangibles that I have the right to use and maybe not even explain if I don't feel like it.
best bring hockey kevin seems
I like to not have to put that much on one player. Henrik has been our outstanding goalie this year. Kevin (Weekes) has been terrific, but Henrik seems to bring out the best in our hockey club.
easy kevin knows move ready winning wins
This is all about winning here. No one knows that better than Kevin Weekes. He's made it easy on me ... Kevin will be ready to play, then we'll move on and get our wins with him, too.
chosen deal kevin nature pick reasons sorts year
You can pick all sorts of reasons out why we're doing all right this year and I can tell you Kevin Weekes has really contributed to that whole thing by the nature of how he's chosen to deal with the situation.
game talked
We talked about it as being a playoff-like game for us.
contingent respect
We just thought we'd show even more respect for our contingent that what we have. It's an international game.
found intense win
We weren't intense enough. There was no real flow. We found a way to win and it wasn't pretty.
