circle clearly club commit explain guys hockey ourselves past sure talking time win
It was time to circle the wagons and clearly explain to the guys that we need to be better and we've got to commit ourselves to what we have been about in the past if we want to do anything with the future. And I'm talking about (tomorrow). We want to make sure we win that game, and to do it, we have to be a much better hockey club than we were tonight.
best few hockey last played prolong saturday
We haven't played our best hockey the last few weeks. We have to be much better on Saturday if we are to prolong this thing.
best couple hockey kid last played
We haven't played our best hockey the last couple weeks. Let's not kid ourselves.
bit certainly continue delivered develop good gotten happen hockey minutes needed point watching work
Certainly he delivered what he needed to do for us from that point of view. I'd like to have gotten him a little bit more minutes and that'll happen in the future. Just watching his game, he's got good hockey sense. We'll continue to work with him . . . and develop him even further.
above beyond call defend desire duty gone good guys habits hockey honest proudly work
Let's be honest about this hockey club, gang: These guys have gone above and beyond the call of duty from Day One. One thing we can proudly do is defend this team's good intentions, their work habits and their desire to win.
afford cannot game growing growth heads hockey hurry stunted tonight
We really do have to get our heads around the way the game is being called. We're growing up in a hurry here, and we cannot afford to play hockey like we did tonight or our growth will be stunted in a real hurry.
choose game hockey judgment obviously ourselves outcome perform playoff position recognized season win
It's a judgment day for our team. This season could be recognized one way or the other by how we choose to perform on Saturday. We want the outcome to obviously be in our favor. We have to play a good, strong, playoff hockey game and if we do that, we'll put ourselves in a position to win it anyway.
hockey mind playoff regular secured
It's terrific. We secured a playoff spot, that's all it is. We have a lot more hockey to play in the regular season, never mind making the playoffs.
best heard hockey version
That's the best version of 'Sweet Caroline' I've ever heard in a hockey rink.
chance chose clearly fighting given good guys hockey lost needed ourselves period players playing poise saw second selfish simple talked team themselves win
It's a team that lost its poise and it's composure, simple as that. We clearly talked about what needed to be done in the second period and if we would have given ourselves a fighting chance by playing even-up hockey, there's a good chance we win the hockey game. We lost our composure, saw some selfish hockey, some undisciplined players and some guys who chose to think of themselves before their teammates.
advantage beat behind biggest created good hockey ourselves reference team
It's a reference point, that's probably the biggest advantage we created for ourselves out of tonight. We did come from behind to beat a real good hockey team and we have to use that for what it's worth.
against game good hockey hunch jersey kevin last played playing sort
We're sort of playing a hunch as much as anything. He's played New Jersey well, and our last good game of hockey was here against them with Kevin in goal, so I don't think that is unreasonable at all.
beat cup found good hockey hung plan stanley stuck
To beat a very good hockey team, the Stanley Cup champions, was important. And we did it because we hung in there and we stuck to our plan and, in the end, we found a way to win.
found hockey
They've found a way to play that's comfortable for them. It's Flyers hockey, basically, but Flyers hockey with these new rules.
