In my situation there are often things I need to do for the team, so when I get the chance to relax it's all I want to do.
Concussions are still kind of a mysterious thing.
When I'm practicing, I think I'm pretty focused, and I spend a lot of energy on making sure I get better, but once I'm outside the rink, I think, like anyone else, I like to enjoy everything that everyone else does.
Obviously, I don't want to be in the box for over a hundred minutes during the season, but at the same time I have to try to play with an edge and battle out there.
Being a successful hockey player is overcoming when guys are shadowing you and out-thinking them. It makes it that much more worthwhile when a guy is shadowing you and you get a quick opening and you put the puck in the net.
We've been there a lot this year. We've fallen behind and climbed our way back, but it seems like one mistake we make and sometimes it costs us.
Everything clicked. Everything was working together, and we did all the little things. We played with a lot of confidence.
We should be. It's great to see they did so well. As a group of guys, we want to do the same thing.
was amazing. You don't have a choice but to play your best. They force you do do that because they're smart and that's the fun part for me, I'm being challenged to think faster and be creative.
There was a lot of firsts: my first game, first goal, first penalty, ... Everything seemed to be a first thing for me, so everything kind of watched it that way. But things have died down a little bit. Not totally, but a lot more than what it was at the start of the season.
There's no hiding the fact the last couple of games we weren't there, we weren't even in it.
There's no excuse at all. It's effort. It's moving your feet, it's making hits. You keep it simple, but when you do you create bounces -- you make your own bounces.
There's not going to be a lot of surprises for me if I can ask him beforehand and see how things work. That's the main thing, just being around him and seeing how he goes about things every day.
It would have been nice to get the third win in a row, but it's nice to at least get the point.
