I've never looked at it as a burden and I don't think I ever will. It's exciting. It means that people are interested in hockey and that's important. That's the best part about it.

People can speculate that for sure, and why not? ... I haven't played in the NHL and only played (24) games in junior so there are going to people who speculate. There will always be people who doubt me and want to see me fail and every time I step on the ice it is my job to prove people wrong. That was our best opportunity to get the win, but I don't think we let up after. We were still pushing and pressing to get the win and finish the game, but it just didn't happen. We have to make sure that we take advantage of opportunities like that.

I'm sure it's something we thought about a little bit more, knowing the intensity they were going to play with being an important game for them. We knew they were going to play hard. As of right now, go back to junior, the WHA or Europe. I guess those are the three main options, and who knows if other leagues are going to form, or what's going to happen if there is no season again... I haven't really given it a whole lot of thought. That's something that I'm going to decide after the season is over - what's best for me.

I saw Whitney break his stick and they had a 2-on-2, but there was a guy going to the net and (Whitney) didn't have a stick to stop the pass. I yelled his name and got my stick to him the best way I could. I wasn't sure if they were going to call a penalty but I was just trying to save a goal because I knew the pass was going to get to him.

It goes by fast. When it's your first year, a lot of times it goes by slower just because everything's new. I can't imagine it going by any faster than it has this year. It's scary, but it's been fun and I want to finish as best as possible.

I think to be great, you have to prove that you're the best year after year after year and show that by winning. I think that's something you have to earn. You have to prove that. I don't really think about it. I think that's something that's too far ahead for me.

For me to say I could have helped, it's pretty hard to say that. I respect all the players that were there. They did their best to bring back gold. It's unfortunate that it came up short, but it's going to make everyone more hungry for 2010.
