Being a successful hockey player is overcoming when guys are shadowing you and out-thinking them. It makes it that much more worthwhile when a guy is shadowing you and you get a quick opening and you put the puck in the net.
Who better to mould him than the greatest player ever.
In football, every play, play after play, there's that physicality. Football players only play once a week, so they must really need to rest. That does kind of tell you how physical the sport is. But in hockey, you have the boards. I just couldn't say which is more physical.
My favorite player would probably be Steve Yzerman. He played in Detroit. I really liked the way he played and the way he handled himself.
Whether you're trying to learn in hockey or trying to learn in life, I've always tried to be observant and tried to learn more, tried to evolve, whether it's as a hockey player or as a person. With each year, I try to do that.
We believe in a lot of the same things. I'm interested to learn about anything, any way I can improve myself. And I think it's a two-way thing where he's trying to find things that interest the players and make it fun for them to improve.
Hockey's lost a great player and a great person. I don't think it will change anything for me, but this happening makes a lot of the younger guys realize what he meant to the team and the city. It makes you want to do things for the team and the city that he did, because the city has been unbelievable to us. It's just treated us great. We've got great fans here.
For me to say I could have helped, it's pretty hard to say that. I respect all the players that were there. They did their best to bring back gold. It's unfortunate that it came up short, but it's going to make everyone more hungry for 2010.
If there is an NHL with replacement players, I think for me to be involved and to say that I would play in the league is not true. If the NHL is the real NHL with the best players in the world, for sure I want to play in it, but if it's a league of replacement players, it's not the real NHL. And with all the things going on right now with players and owners, it's not right and I don't think I'd be playing in a league like that.
I'm not going to play in a replacement league. With replacement players it's not the best league in the world - that's the league that I dream of playing in, the NHL - with real NHL players.

We've been there a lot this year. We've fallen behind and climbed our way back, but it seems like one mistake we make and sometimes it costs us.
When a goalie is off for that long, you expect he might be a little rusty. Early on, he was giving out a few more rebounds than normal. If we had jumped on a few on those, it might have been different. As the game wore on, he seemed to get more comfortable and he was pretty solid back there.
