bet great guys longer pride recent start taking took year
It took us a little longer this year for the guys to really start taking a lot of pride in it. But they did and they got it accomplished. I bet if you went back in the recent 20 or 30 years in the league, nobody's ever done it with guys this young. When you think about that, it's a great accomplishment for a young team.
plays
They were able to make big plays at the end and we weren't.
came sure
They were more active. They came to win. I'm not sure what we came to do.
accept concerned ways
It's concerned me all year, but it's part of who were are. At this point, I've got to accept it and we've got to find other ways to win.
guess maybe
It?s been kind of mysterious, really, ... Maybe if I was on TV, pleading my case, I?d be better off. But I guess that?s not really my style.
baffling ball situations took turned understand work
It's baffling as much as we work on end-of-game situations that we just took the ball up and turned it over right there. I don't understand it.
came chances flat fought halftime lead looked loss
It's a disappointing loss because of the way we played. We didn't play particularly well in the first-half. Yet we had a two-point lead and they didn't have Webber. We just came out after halftime really flat and looked bewildered. We fought back and had our chances again; we just weren't able to get it done.
awful guys hard magic means paying spent system time
It means the guys are working very hard at it and it's paying off. There's no magic in that, really. It's just that we have the a system that we teach, and the guys have spent the time getting it down. We've spent an awful lot of time on it.
bothered san
It really bothered him in the San Antonio game.
both ends floor game good played plays
We have played better at the end of the games. We have tended to make some pretty good plays on both ends of the floor when the game is on the line.
ben covering good run snow
We have a play that we run there where we to try to get Ben on a run around but it didn't develop. Snow (was) pretty much covering it real good there and we couldn't get off of him to get Ben free.
blow body both given jump ready win
We'd like to come out and win the first quarter. Both games, they've given us a body blow right off the jump and we just haven't been ready enough.
blocked defense hang heads open picked shots
We responded particularly well tonight. When things didn't go our way, we didn't go into one of our tremendously long droughts and hang our heads and look defeated. We did the reverse. We picked it up on defense and blocked some shots and got out in the open floor.
finally history team teams tend titles winning
We know we're not a title-contending team right now, but in the history of teams winning titles they tend to take their lumps for a little while before they finally get there.
