indicate record
(Blanton's) record doesn't indicate that he's Cy Young, but we made him look like that.
bad early everybody head hit improve keeps rough saying spring terrible winter
Everybody keeps saying it was a terrible year, but those weren't too bad of numbers. But he did struggle. He got hit in the head early and had a rough spring because of his winter with so many illnesses. Overall, if you look at it, he's got a lot of things that he can improve upon offensively.
chance joe remember separate star
The thing you have to remember is, Puckett didn't separate people. Everyone had a chance to be his friend. You could have been star or a Joe off the street, it didn't matter.
bit step
Sometimes you take a little bit of a step back to get where you need to be.
fire guy stick wonder worried
Sometimes I wonder -- if you just take a guy and stick him in the fire -- if it's the right thing to do. Let him come up here, play here and there, get some confidence. He's not worried if he's going to play every day.
checked heart

Don't get me started. Don't even go there.
offensive pitcher problems punish
Don't punish the pitcher for our offensive problems that we've had this year.
along last relaxed seemed sure year
Cuddy got better and better as the year went along last year, especially when we put him in the outfield. He relaxed a little bit. I'm sure he'll say no, but he seemed to do better there.
good range roller saw slow
Very smooth. His range is not as good as it once was, but you saw him charging in on a slow roller and making it look very, very simple.
