football top win
We know that they're a very experienced football team. They feel like they've got one of the top defenses in the MAC. We know we're going to have to go out and win the game. They're not going to give us anything.
ball playing running side win
He told me when we recruited him he wanted to win the Heisman as a running back. I think he'd tell you he's playing on the right side of the ball now.
conditions guys played understood wind
It was one of those days, where the wind and conditions weren't very good. It was a little sloppy, but the guys that have played understood their assignments.
along doubt further guys next nice plus sweat throwing winter year
There's no doubt about it, we would have been inside. We'd like to be able to get things done. And plus we'd be further along. We'll be further along next year because our guys will have been throwing all winter long and doing things. That's the advantage. If this was next year at this time, we'd have a nice sweat going.
bring few guys
When you play defense, it is about emotion. It is about enthusiasm. You want to see that and you want to have that. And we have a few guys that bring that to the table.
involved move remember
We've just got to move forward. I don't remember being involved in anything like this.
good number pleased wear
We did a pretty good job. They thought they were going to put a big number on us. They were surprised. They thought they'd be able to wear us down. I was pleased with our conditioning.
recruiting technology
There has to be a whole revamping of recruiting because of technology.
blocking good job tackling time tough
We had a tough time blocking them. We had a tough time tackling them. We didn't do a good job as coaches. We didn't do a good job as players.
blocks coaches good holes job open sustain time tough
We had a tough time blocking, tackling, and didn't do a good job as coaches and players, ... We didn't open up enough holes and sustain enough blocks on offense. It's always a combination of things, and we just need to keep working and get better.
ability knew speed tough utilize
We knew about his athleticism when we recruited him. We wanted to utilize his speed and athleticism and his ability to get to the ball. He's a tough kid, too.
good
We got overwhelmed by a really good defense.
backs bit effort everybody expected guys job line offensive pass playing pride regardless running work
Everybody has to take a bit more pride and effort that the No. 1 job of the offensive line and running backs is pass protection. You don't want that quarterback to be touched. You have to work to do that. Regardless of how many first-year guys we have in the offensive line, they're playing and that's the job they're expected to do.
good guys
When we've been really good here, we've had guys that have been that way. You go back to when Alfred (Fincher) was here.
