Randy Douglas Edsallis an American football coach who is currently the director of football research-special projects for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. He was the head coach at the University of Maryland from 2011 to 2015. We had a tough time blocking, tackling, and didn't do a good job as coaches and players, ... We didn't open up enough holes and sustain enough blocks on offense. It's always a combination of things, and we just need to keep working and get better.

When you can get that kind of field position through special teams it's a big advantage. Guys like that, the one thing it does is it gets the guys in front of them to keep blocking longer and sustain their blocks because they know that whenever he touches the ball he can go the distance.

When you play defense, it is about emotion. It is about enthusiasm. You want to see that and you want to have that. And we have a few guys that bring that to the table.
