against ball bat care decent few good job pitches swinging team threw
We just had a lot of Dontrelle Willis tonight, more than I'd care to see, ... Brandon (Backe) threw the ball well. He had a lot of good pitches and only a few mistakes. That was a decent job against a team that is really swinging the bat well.
bats certainly eight enjoying runs swinging
We have been swinging the bats very well. I don't know if we're going to be able to put up eight or 13 runs every day during the season, but certainly I'm enjoying it right now.
bat bit chris good hot move playoff swinging
Well, I think Chris is swinging the bat pretty good right now and he has through these playoff games, ... Going with a little bit of a hot hand. This is only a move to do today. I haven't even thought about tomorrow.
bat break days good mental might rolling swinging tough
I might not have done it had he been really swinging the bat well, but sometimes you need a mental break when you're having a tough stretch. Most of his days off will come on day games, but he will play on long stretches when he will be rolling good and won't get as many days off.
bat bit chris lamb swinging
He's a bit disappointed, and justifiably so. Chris is swinging the bat well and I wanted to get (Mike) Lamb in the game. He's swinging the bat well, too.
bat hopefully maybe swinging tender three
I feel like he's swinging the bat well. I don't want to see him out there at the plate, have three at-bats and maybe be a little tender and maybe do something a little different. We'll give him one more day and hopefully he'll be 100 percent.
bats good happen night pitch roy swinging
They were swinging the bats pretty good and it didn't look like things were going to happen with a big night offensively. So Roy had to pitch well, and he did. So did Brad.
bat bats good hate swinging wait
When they're swinging the bats as good as they are, you hate to give them a day. You want to give them a day when they're not swinging the bat good. When you're swinging the bat good, you can't wait to get to the ballpark.
bit days longer swinging
He'll do that for a little bit longer -- two days on, one day off. He's swinging well.
bat came guys hand hole morgan moved pitch position prefer swinging switched third turned
I moved him for Morgan. When he came back from the hand injury, I wanted him in a position where guys are going to have to pitch to him and he's going to get pitches. I switched him back because I didn't think he was swinging the bat that good. I prefer to have Lance in that third hole and as it turned out today, Morgan came through big.
care
We just had a lot of Dontrelle Willis tonight, more than I'd care to see.
against bottom good job line missed pitches pitching zone
We missed some pitches that we should have hit, and we expanded the (strike) zone sometimes when we probably shouldn't have. But the bottom line is they did a pretty good job of pitching against us.
happening hits parts timely
What's happening is we're getting timely hits and we're doing it from all parts of the lineup.
balls three
We had three balls that should have been caught,
