He did not go to his mouth. He was sweating profusely on his face. He wiped his eyebrow across his nose, and (Dreckman) called it on his face. It was a bad call, plain and simple.
fastball guy life nice night primarily stayed unusually
He did a very nice job. He had a pretty nice fastball and was locating it pretty well, and they just stayed with it all night long. It was kind of an unusually pitched game. You don't see a guy use primarily fastballs. He had a little life on it.
balls breaking dominant seen strike
He didn't look as dominant as I've seen him in the past. He didn't use a lot of breaking balls or off-speed stuff, he just used his fastball. But we didn't strike it.

He didn't go to his mouth on the mound. He was simply sweating profusely on his face and was wiping it away.
deserves
He deserves that. Not only does he deserve it, that's the right thing for us to do in that situation. And that's what we've done.

He just didn't locate like we're accustomed to seeing him locate. But I think that will be forthcoming. It was good for Andy to bounce back after his last outing.

He knows how much we would like to have him back. I think this is the perfect spot for him.
expect extra guy options start
He'll be an extra guy that can pinch-run. I wouldn't expect him to start right now. In September, you like to have as many options as you can.

Guys usually have a very difficult time crossing the diamond in the infield. But he's extremely quick, as quick as anybody I've ever seen at turning a double play. That's unusual for a guy to have such a strong arm, who can throw the ball across the diamond and then move to second and immediately be able to change his arm angle.

He hustled all the way and made a super play; that might have been the turning point at the game right there.
