We've been talking, and we had a more significant discussion (Wednesday). That is why I am willing to say something in a general sense. There are no details to give. We're in great shape, and things worked out really nice.
Is it human nature that we're going to be complacent? I don't see that in any way, ... As a staff, we've worked harder and longer and recruited more than ever before. Probably the opposite of what you think has happened we're more driven then ever.
There's more stuff forthcoming. The university continues to work to bring this to a resolution. It's going to be in the next couple days, we'll know more.
Dancers work and they work and they work, and they master their skills so far that improvisation just comes flowing out of them. Their natural expression of the best they can possibly be comes out of them because there is no boundary to hold them back... That's the mentality that I'm trying to create, recreate and hold on to forever.
People make mistakes all the time. We learn and grow. If there's patience and love, and you care for people, you can work them through it, and they can find their greatest heights.
Obviously, the focus goes to Sanchez. He gets a great opportunity to be in charge, run the whole thing. We'll just try to maximize that, get Mike McDonald some work and wait for J.D. to get better.
Since he's ahead of schedule, we should be able to give him the bulk of the work.
What my thoughts come back to about this football team right now, this is a program that has found a level of excellence. We'll get back to work and see how it comes together. We have great players coming on to offset the guys that are leaving.
We're in great shape, and everything is going to work out for the long haul. I'm not looking. I don't care about those opportunities. ... This is a good time for this. There'll be a tremendous amount of movement in the NFL a week from now.
We work real hard to make visits from NFL scouts as beneficial as possible. We offer our guys everything from A to Z as they go through the process.
They know that they're worked in a fashion that makes them prepare well and perform well. They're into it. They do anything we ask them to do. They deserve to have a great time doing it everyday.
As we do every spring, we'll try to establish the high level of competitiveness, intensity and work ethic that have been the hallmark of our program. Spring football is a very important time for us to develop and capture those attributes.
This is a program that has found a level of excellence that's extraordinary. Now we'll go back to work and try to keep it going and get better.
We maximized the opportunity for Mark. He really got a bunch of great work in. He developed tremendously and had a great spring for us.
