We did all this stuff, ... and then we didn't play very well.
We didn't hit the ball cleanly. The ball wasn't as deep as in practice.
We couldn't tell in the first half what happened and we wanted to find out, so we just ran it,
We've grown to the point where we need these kind of challenges. It keeps us strong.
Tonight the offense was just rolling. We finally got rolling in the turnover situation. We've been quiet lately. Stanford has been such a stingy team. We wanted to turn that thing around. To get five and give none, we loved that.
We've got a lot of film on them. In the first game, they just outmanned the opponent (Missouri State). We definitely started to look at a variety of things they do.
We return some really solid players. We have no depth at all. I really like what we're bringing in there.
We're trying to hustle Sedrick's development. The first game is not an indicative game. Hawaii doesn't run a normal offense.
We like to celebrate the new year like everybody else. Everybody will be kept in house and in great order, as well. But we want to have fun. We have plenty of time to enjoy it.
We weren't cheering when the new BCS ranking came out this morning. I know that, ... The BCS ranking is really important when you finish the season, not now.
(UA) played really hard, and they had a very good defense, ... Their scheme is very solid. They know how to mix their looks and their pressures. They came after us and were really effective. We respect the heck out of what they are doing and what they are capable of doing.
I got the chance to be myself. They just didn't like it. They fired me.
If we can do this, what can't we do? ... If we can sustain losing Norm . . . what can't we handle?
I have great respect for what he's done. We've played against each other, and I think it's really cool that we have this chance to match up again. This is the first time we've gone head to head as head coaches.
