It sends a great message about college football. And believe me, the NFL wants these guys to stay, too.
Matt Leinart's decision to return for his senior year really sent a message about him as a person and about how much fun it is to play college football.
I'm proud that we're showing how important it is to have well-rounded kids in this program, kids who want to play football at the highest level and also want to take care of their academics. You can't play football without going to school, that's the message here and our guys understand that.
It isn't about the words you say. It's about the energetic message you send.
We've been talking, and we had a more significant discussion (Wednesday). That is why I am willing to say something in a general sense. There are no details to give. We're in great shape, and things worked out really nice.
We just could not stop him. Vince Young is just an extraordinary football player.
We just missed each other out there. I don't think anyone was mad at each other. I was more upset that our defense gave up all those passing yards in the fourth quarter. I don't think there's a problem.
We feel very fortunate to be in this situation at this time of year. It's a beautiful time to be coaching and playing football. This is the situation we all hope for. We all want to get in the Rose Bowl. The situation this year is a little different.
I've never understood how two-thirds of the thing can vote for you one way and one third can knock you into fourth place. It looks like it should be third, third, third, but that's my simple math.
It would be awesome to go a couple more games and have a chance to be in a position like that. I know their fans and their followers have just got to be loving it.
It was a championship night in all ways. These two teams battled until the finish.
I still don't know how the BCS rankings really work, except that computers are involved, ... And I don't know how you get mad at a computer.
I spent plenty of time in the NFL. I don't care about any of those (NFL) opportunities. They don't fit me right now.
Is it like the Wizard of Oz? A guy behind the curtain with a megaphone or something?
