beats enjoying ridiculous
It's ridiculous to say we're not enjoying this. It beats any alternative.
carry deep enjoy good great ridiculous roll spot start
It's ridiculous to say that we don't enjoy it. It's a great start for us. With young clubs, you get off to a good start and you can carry this roll deep into the season. It's a good spot to be in.
bothering game since
It's been bothering him every game since (Aug. 18), ... It's something he probably could play through, but that doesn't make any sense at this point. We need him to be what he can be.
basically spots
It's just down to basically the bullpen. There are still some spots open. We've got some things to decide.
catching game miller night playing
It's just a day game after a night game. Miller would be catching if we were playing a night game.
aggressive control matter total transition
It's a transition in his mind, more than anything else. It's a matter of being aggressive and being in control, and he was in total control (Tuesday).
either guys helps makeup situation terms tough
It's a tough situation (for Fernandez), but sometimes you just have to go through it. It was a tough situation for Mike, too, because he pitched well enough to make our team. Either one of those guys could have made the team. It's just that Jared has a little more flexibility in terms of what he can do for us. It helps the makeup of our staff.
breaking facing formal league major second swing throw
It was big for him to go out in more of a formal situation, facing another major league team. He didn't throw any breaking balls. His second inning was much better than the first. He got in the swing of things.
board came exact
It was the exact same thing. We came right back, on the attack, and we got on the board early.
hoping nine sitting win wins
It was a win for Davis. We were hoping it'd be for Doug Davis, as well as Doug's pitched. Doug's been sitting on nine wins for a long time.
certainly key outfield playing three
I want them to get used to playing all three outfield spots. Versatility is certainly the key to what we want to do.
amazes closes mind totally
It totally amazes me how he can go through as many distractions as he's got. He closes it out of his mind and focuses on what he's doing.
breathe gave good room runs
It was good to get some runs early. It gave Cappy a little room to breathe out there. He pitched another good game.
