Michael has good instincts and good breaks on the ball. He's not undisciplined. Some of those guys who seem to be where the action is all the time are a little bit undisciplined.
Whoever is playing, I expect them to play well. We want to win the football game. Every time we suit up, we're going after a win. But it is different because you do have certain things wrapped up now.
I think Seneca Wallace grew up a little bit in the preseason when we needed him to,
I think he's going to be fine. He had a concussion but there are grades of concussions. If I showed him a picture of a truck he would say it's a truck and not a butterfly right now. He's pretty lucid. They'll do more tests on him but they seem to think he's going to be fine for next week.
I think he's bright and courageous. I think Matt's best years are still ahead of him.
We just changed some of our packages so it gets to be seen more. Plus, everybody knows that this could be my last year here so everybody is kind of paying attention to everything.
We just are who we are and Pittsburgh is who they are. The only thing I can think of is that they beat Indianapolis, a huge win for them. And that popped up Pittsburgh, as it should.
We played in noisy games on the road. I don't anticipate it being like that, but I think we will be the visiting team in that stadium I'm pretty sure, so we're going to work on that the next couple days.
I think he brings some stability to that group. The linebacker group is a very, very young group. He is kind of the elder statesman. He's rather quiet, he's not a big vocal guy, but they do have questions and he's been there.
I think Matt's best years are still ahead of him. He has played very, very well this year. But he is just starting and, in my opinion, he should be good for a while and keep getting better.
I thought Kenny was our best defensive back ... (but) we had 16 free agents and our front office was in a little bit of turmoil. Everyone has to know this: We didn't want to lose Ken Lucas. We wanted to keep Ken Lucas. And in free agency, when he became free, Carolina offered him just a phenomenal financial package. And he was gone.
John Marshall has coordinated in this league and has done a nice job at it.
We need Walter to feel real good. I always feel good when he feels good. I'm going to be careful with Walter.
We needed to do that, to control the ball with our running game, and obviously, that was one of the keys to the game.
