It was a nice second half. The team played very, very well, especially in the second half.
Randy was, in my opinion, the best. He really was the best. We played against him so many times; there aren't many guys like him around.
That was very distasteful to me, to retaliate so to speak like that (against the Vikings). I do believe the commissioner should look into these kind of clauses. We work so hard on trying to gain labor peace and a new collective bargaining agreement and then we as clubs allow agents to get cute and circumvent it. On the playing field there are rules and there are unwritten rules about how the game should be played in the spirit and the fairness of it all. It doesn't make sense to me that we had to lose such a fine football player this way. I was surprised by the ruling.
We played in noisy games on the road. I don't anticipate it being like that, but I think we will be the visiting team in that stadium I'm pretty sure, so we're going to work on that the next couple days.
I think Matt's best years are still ahead of him. He has played very, very well this year. But he is just starting and, in my opinion, he should be good for a while and keep getting better.
Sean has played pretty well so we're going to let him play, ... But we're going to get Chop (Womack) in there to play a little bit.
We have played better than we did tonight. Unfortunately, it's the biggest game of the year.
We'll see, ... Joe, of course, has played, and Hackett hasn't played very much so we'll see. He has certainly worked hard to do this, and I have confidence in him. We'll see how it goes.
We are going to approach it just like we have attempted to approach every game we have played this season.
You played a great game, but it wasn't the perfect game.
There were some guys who made some great plays, but we did drop the ball uncharacteristically. ...We played against a good team, and you can't overcome those things.
He kind of set the tone for all those guys inside. And they've played well. He was a little like what John Randle was like for us a couple years ago.
I probably bruised him ... myself. I didn't think we played very smart on offense.
I'm very, very happy for Matt, and that is no secret. It's a good story to me because he overcame some adversity at the beginning of his career, and he played through some injuries. He's a mentally tough guy. Like all of us, there's a period of becoming a little more humble and then kind of coming out of it and going.
