I didn't really have great fundamentals the last couple of years, but he's installed those and helped me become a lot better player.

I didn't want to lose my opportunity on the first shot. I didn't want to kick it out of bounds, so I lobbed it down there. Luckily, the coverage team got down there and saved me a little bit. I don't remember kicking that first kick; I remember watching where it went. When I went to the sidelines, Brandon said I looked white as a ghost.

I didn't mention that to the kids before the game, but I know they were thinking about it.

I didn't make hitters uncomfortable. They didn't have to move their feet. We threw inside, but it wasn't where people had to move. I felt like I had really good stuff today, and they hit it, and that's why.

I didn't like jumping 16-8, but winning is always good.

I didn't get my chance to pitch here again, and that's disappointing. I grew up here. I grew up playing ball here. My whole professional life playing ball has been here. It's disappointing to see (Busch Stadium) come down. But I've learned through the years that I think the change will be good for the city, the team and the organization.

I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. When we got back, as late as it was, I probably got to sleep about 3:30 and got up at 9.
chase dislike
I dislike the gym, but I'll chase a tennis ball all day.
coach expect pitching problem
I don't expect it to be a problem or anything that's an issue. I think (Nipper) kind of comes out of Wally's mold, in a way. To me, a pitching coach is more of a psychologist than a pitching coach.
I don't even know what to say about it.
