From a budgetary standpoint, we?re nowhere close to the Tour de Georgia or Tour of California. They have budgets around $3 to $4 million. Ours is under $100,000. Even though our course and level of road racing in the event mimics those of the larger events, in terms of the prize money we can offer and the caliber of athlete we hope to get to come, we really can?t compete until we have a larger budget. Unfortunately, the consumer really doesn't have any other choice. You have to pay what's at the pump, and places like Hawaii have decided to go to the legislature and say put a cap on prices. The problem you have there is gas lines. Because companies selling fuel, they'll simply sell it somewhere else and then you'll have a shortage in your jurisdiction.
