Martin Pierre Brodeuris a Canadian former ice hockey goaltender and the assistant general manager of the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League. In his 21-season tenure with the New Jersey Devils, he won three Stanley Cup championships and five Eastern Conference titles in 17 postseason campaigns. The rules are there and there is a lot more flow to the game. If we are able to play this way and not take a lot of penalties, you'll see this more and more from our team. It's not just me. All the guys are excited that we are able to shut down good teams.
It was tough to get going right away and I think you saw that. It (the Italian goal) was good for the fans and they got excited. But we knew it was just a matter of time before we would score.
The worst thing for us was probably getting the early lead. We sat back after that, but in the end we held on and got a good performance out of our guys.
I feel good and I feel re-energized. That night off was good for me and I feel like I'm ready to go.
You have to manage your ups and downs in a series to be successful. We've been able to pull through in situations where our backs were against the wall a little bit, but we took advantage of some lucky breaks. That's the way games go, if you work hard good things will happen.
It's not hard to get up for, that's for sure. Times have changed a lot. Our fans were going to New York and it's not as scary as it used to be. But it will be a great battle. Two good teams are going at it.
It was an okay game. I know in (this round) people expect us to walk through everybody, and I guess we did to a certain extent in the second period, but we had a pretty good vibe, did well on the power-play.

When he got the pass, he kind of looked right away to see if somebody was open. He never looked at me until he shot the puck. I felt like I was in good enough position to be able to turn my body just a little bit to react to a pass and he just snuck it right through me.
We are definitely expected to win but we had to do it the way we did it. The way we did it was the thing everybody was happy about. It was not just skimming a victory out of a shootout or something like that. This was a good effort and it's been a while since we had one like that.
They probably played as good as they can play.
