This is a big weekend for us, so we've got to regroup right away. That's why you can see the guys aren't really too excited about this because we know we've got a big one tomorrow against the Rangers.
This is a big rivalry here and we're definitely excited about the situation that we're in but we haven't won anything yet.
As far as I'm concerned, he's the best hockey player that I've played against.
Defensively, we were awesome. That's as good as a team can play. I don't know how hard they competed against us, but we don't care. It's about how we play.
Defensively we're going to have a lot of size. It should be interesting to see - I think it's going to be a learning process - learn to play with each other, learn to play with the new rules, learn to play against other teams. There's all new teams everywhere, they haven't been passive and have been changing players left and right. For the first week it be interesting to see how we play against our traditional rivals because we're going to be playing them a lot.
Definitely, it would be nice. That's what I'm planning to do. ... It's not something I'm going to regret all of my life. But it's going to be nice if we're able to do it. We know there's a lot of work ahead of us to get it done.
Definitely it was key not having him around. We took advantage of him not being around. That's good.
Definitely, it's a little crisis. It's not the end of the world.
I wanted to challenge him. I went further than usual, and I waved my glove hand in his face and tried to get his attention. It worked out well. I don't know if he looked at me or not, but I was moving everything I could.
Sometimes you don't want to embarrass anybody because you don't want to awaken them. We've got to start all over in Game 2.
Right now, we don't look at the division. We're looking more at our conference, where we stand. Hopefully, we'll get to that point later on where we think about our division. But, if you look, our record in our division is not that good. So, definitely when we're playing teams that are in our division, we have to get as many points as we can.
You play for so long, it's going to happen eventually.
This is going to be such a huge event for my family, my friends. It's going to be such a fun experience. My dad won a bronze in 1956 and now, 50 years later, going back to the same country, I'm going to try and win a medal as well.
It was tough to get going right away and I think you saw that. It (the Italian goal) was good for the fans and they got excited. But we knew it was just a matter of time before we would score.
