These were big games for us. It's nice to see us dominate them.
These nights are going to happen. It's definitely disappointing to do that against a team like that, but that's the way it is.
The Senators are a team we are looking up at in the standings. They beat a lot of teams in our division. Any points we get against them is a plus.
The team has the confidence to throw me in the net every night and that makes it a lot easier when you know you're going to get over 65 starts every year.
Put it this way. We were looking more at the eighth spot than at anybody in our division.
I got it with the paddle of my stick. I think he ran out of real estate. He's the one who scored that big goal against me (in the Olympics), so it was kind of nice to stop him. But it was not really a decisive save though.
If they had 30 Martin Brodeurs out there, that rule wouldn't be there; nobody would have voted for it, ... There are just too many teams that didn't have these goalies that were ready to make sure the guys that were affecting the games weren't able to do it anymore.
I'd love to know what it is so we can try to prevent it.
I don't know what's going to happen. It's just a tough situation. It makes it hard to avoid the question for two weeks. It's tough for everybody. For us, what's done is done. You can't change it. It's just the way you react to it, the way you handle it that is going to make the difference. It's definitely something we wish we could avoid.
Nothing. I don't move, I don't do anything anymore.
Perfect is a big word. But we're playing great hockey.
One thing is certain ? no matter who gets chosen, there will be second guessing.
Letting in that first goal gave them some wind and it set us back.
Letting in that first goal gave them some wind and it set it us back. On the next shift they scored another one to put us behind the 8-ball.
