biggest easier experience growing kids mind somebody
My biggest thing is these young kids need some experience on the perimeter. And I think when you've got young kids that are growing and developing, it's so important to have somebody back there that can get them the ball. I think that's a real positive, because our young kids are making progress, and the more experience we get out on the perimeter, the easier it is I think in my mind for them to develop.
guard watching
Marbury was great. I was watching the film - you can't guard better than he guarded.
earned figure help rookies trying
I won't play the rookies all the time, but they earned it. It's going to take some time. We're trying to figure out who can play and who can help us.
defended hard kids played plays reward together
I was thrilled. The young kids have been working hard and it shows. They played together well and they defended well, made some big plays and that's a reward in itself.
feels good team tries
It feels good. I always feel good after a team tries hard,
affect worked
I still have some of the same things, but I'm OK. It doesn't affect me coaching. I feel great, and we'll see if some things can be worked out.
cares deeply everybody team
I think everybody on this team cares deeply about him. We've got to just be supportive.
afraid continue everybody kids seems struggle
I think once we struggle it seems that it just snowballs, ... Our young kids continue to play hard; they're kind of fearless. I think everybody else seems like they're just afraid to make a mistake.
ball care lead league playoff points team telling trouble turned
I think if you look at the M.O. of this team all year, we have had trouble making stops. We have turned the ball over, we lead the league in turnovers, points of turnovers, and assist-to-turnovers. I keep telling them if you want to play playoff basketball, you've got to take care of the ball and execute. We don't get it and we have to keep working on it.
bound games marathon missed
I think he's missed so many games and so many practices, he's bound to be way behind. This is a marathon and we've got to get him ready. If we've got to use the games like practices, we'll have to do that.
believe confident continue guys mind step teammates understand
I think he's got to make up his mind to continue to improve. We've got to make our teammates better ... I'm confident he'll understand that. But it can't be on one guy. We have a lot of guys that have got to step up. But believe me, this isn't going to be the same team.
believe confidence great listening players settle talking
I think he's got a great feel for the game. He's got experience. I believe he can settle us down. He's been great for me. He contributes a lot, in a lot of ways, just talking to him and listening to what he says, suggestions he makes. And when he plays, players have a lot of confidence in him.
maybe nights shoot
I think he just didn't want to shoot the ball. I thought he'd have 15, 20 assists. It was just one of those nights where maybe he didn't feel like he was on.
confidence follow players showing took written
I think he said it because it was his way of showing his confidence in his ability. That's the way I took it. I wouldn't want players not to have confidence, but I think sometimes, because it's written in this day and age, that it's going to follow you.
