boston both game huge meant played teams
It's important both teams get better. If you look at what Boston meant to our league, every game they played was a huge rivalry.
believe gave good knows obviously traded
I told Eddy we obviously traded for him and gave up a lot because we really believe in him. He's the cornerstone. I look at him as our future. Him and Channing (Frye) . I don't know if he knows how good we think he can be.
bring guys imperative key league players successful veteran
It's imperative that your better players bring it every night. I don't think there's any way to be successful in this league with just young kids. You need veteran leadership. Sometimes it comes from guys who don't play, but for the most part it has to come from the guys that are the key players.
people understand
It's important to me that you give something back to our sport, ... and people here understand the right way to play.
best bit coach convinced good hard played possibly talked
At times he's played as good as I think he can possibly play. I also think he's not completely convinced that the way I coach is in his best interest. And that's something's that's been a little bit hard for me, and we've talked about it over and over again.
difficult since
That's been the most difficult thing since I got here. It can't be about any one individual. It's got to be about the team.
anybody blame blames concerned entirely falling flailing man saw tony worried
That's entirely different. He was worried about his wife, Kendra, that's why Tony went into the stands. He said he saw her falling back and someone flailing at her. That's a man concerned about his family. I don't blame him. I don't think anybody blames him.
chances few figure games generally guard last learn listen preaching share
The last few games you see how many assists we've had, it's been a lot better. If we share the ball, try to guard and try to play hard, you'll generally get something accomplished. I've been preaching that forever. If you want to listen and learn you'll get it. If you don't, chances are you won't figure it out.
brown great hate larry respect
The Larry Brown situation, I hate that, man. I respect Larry Brown, he's a great coach. But I don't like what he has become. This is getting to be redundant.
effort hustle
Their effort was phenomenal. They made hustle play after hustle play.
eight facing publishing took work
It took me about eight years to work my way up to publishing the first book, that first collection, Facing the Music.
nephews nieces people york
It went great. We had probably between 150 and 175 people because that's what we set it up for. We had nieces and nephews from New York at the event.
coach might single
They come every single day and play with passion. It might not always be right. But when you don't have to coach effort, it's a big step.
gone happy kept pointed winning
They were teasing me about winning my first game. I was happy for them. They've gone through a lot. They haven't pointed any fingers. They just kept working.
