awhile beginning hopefully next rest shut sudden time
Dr. Callahan told me let's shut it down awhile and give him some time to rest because he hasn't done anything (like this) in two years, ... It's a lot different than working out on your own and then all of sudden being in this kind of environment. So we're going to shut it down a little bit. Hopefully he'll be back the beginning of next week. We'll know a lot more then.
act aggressive came few game people run tried trying
During the game I tried to run a few things for him and he said he couldn't. He was trying to get other people involved, so I just told him to be aggressive and act like you're trying to score. He was struggling, but he came through under the circumstances.
age age-and-aging challenge enjoy rather
If I had my druthers, at my age I would rather be with a more established team. But this is fun. I enjoy coaching. It's probably a much different challenge than I've had recently, but that's OK.

coming starting team trouble
I'd have trouble coming up with a starting team some games. Where are you going to get your offense?
fight horrified
I'd have been horrified if we didn't fight back.
amazed david guys jackson point restraint situation stern understand
I could understand the league's point of view, but I'd like to put Stu Jackson or David Stern or one of those guys in that situation and see how they would have reacted. I'm amazed at the restraint he had.
basketball care cares far georgia good tech tendency year
I don't think that's too far off base. Is this about basketball or life? If we do the right things and show improvement, I think those things have a tendency to take care of themselves. He only went to Georgia Tech for a year and that's an engineering school. . . . I think he cares about us winning, so that's a good thing.
cares confident focus hopefully itself losing loyal streak truthful trying work
I don't want to get into that. I just know how much Mr. (James) Dolan cares for him and how loyal he is. Hopefully this thing will play itself out. I'm confident that he's been truthful and things will work out. Again, we're on a six-game losing streak and I know he cares about that a lot. That's what we're trying to focus on.
equate guys money worry
I don't worry about what guys make. You worry about the contribution they make to your team. That's the thing that's most important. Because guys are making a lot of money doesn't always equate to wins.
expect fair highlight point
He's not a point guard, ... Right now, he's a highlight film. And it's not fair to him right now. We didn't expect him to have to be our point guard.
aggressive american-coach basketball nearly ways
He's not nearly as aggressive because of his shoulder. But you don't want to look for excuses. We've got to look for ways to get better.
goes overboard trying
He sometimes goes overboard trying to do what I want him to do.
control fulfill involved retire stay took
Health-wise, I'm better off than I was when I took the job, I wasn't in control of that. I want to retire here. I want to fulfill my contract, and I'd like to stay involved as long as they'll have me.
