anxious battle calmed clock defense good great hard job last played ranked running rushed shots size tested towards win
This was a great win for us. I think we were anxious at first and rushed a bit. But we calmed down and played a great last 30 minutes. They're a very good team, ranked 19th in the RPI, so they're battle tested and very well coached. Their size and versatility make them hard to play against. I thought we did a good job offensively, especially running the clock at the end and getting great shots towards the end of possessions. Our defense still has a long way to go though.
battle sets win
To be successful, we need to win the battle of the boards. It sets up everything we do.
anymore both game good home road success win
To have the kind of success we've had this season, you have to be good both home and away. It's going to be a battle, but I don't think the game being on the road makes us want to win it anymore than otherwise.
giving nobody win
You had to win this game. Nobody was giving it to you.
focused game trying win
We were focused on trying to win the game and that was it. That's what you have to do and that's what we were focused on.
advantage base battle size win
We had a size advantage. We have to win the battle of the boards. That's what we base what we do on.
playing win
We want to win every game. We're 21-4 and playing well right now.
came defense fine free game good instead line ourselves position putting win
We put ourselves in a position to win. But it just came down to free throws. There is such a fine line between a win and a loss. It would have been good if it would have went in, but we need to play better defense through the game instead of putting ourselves in that position.
against athletic battle found good gut lights shoot win
That was a very good win against a very good team, well-coached and a tough, athletic group. We found a way to gut it out. We didn't shoot the lights out and it wasn't a pretty game, but we found a way to battle through.
asking attention care definitely maybe super trade winning worth
We've been under the radar, maybe locally, but definitely not nationally. But we don't really care about that. If you're asking me, 'Would I trade the attention for the Steelers winning the Super Bowl? Was it worth it for the Steelers winning the Super Bowl?' Yeah, it was definitely worth it.
carries enjoys great guys proud winner
He's a great player. He's been a winner from the day he got here. The guys know that. They can sense it. It carries over with his competitiveness. The guys are watching, and I think Carl enjoys it. He relishes it. He's proud of what he's done here, and he should be.
basket earn finishing forced saw tough wing
Keith penetrated and got to the basket very well. Defensively, he made them earn their points, forced them to take tough shots. He's also exceptional at finishing on the wing in transition, which we also saw a lot of tonight.
bad both guys knew relationship win wondered work
You always wondered how the relationship was going to work out with two guys that are so competitive. But both guys wanted to win so bad that they knew it was the right thing.
battle practice win
We have to win the battle on the boards. We practice it every day.
