battle free good playing second teams throws win
It was two good teams playing well. They made free throws (11 for 14 in the second half), and we need to win the rebounding battle more than we did.
against athletic battle found good gut lights shoot win
That was a very good win against a very good team, well-coached and a tough, athletic group. We found a way to gut it out. We didn't shoot the lights out and it wasn't a pretty game, but we found a way to battle through.
battle practice win
We have to win the battle on the boards. We practice it every day.
battle former great guys key tough
He's a great player, a tough kid, a former McDonald's All-American. The key is we have tough guys who can battle down low, and we're deep, so we can keep rotating guys in to play him very physical.
anxious battle calmed clock defense good great hard job last played ranked running rushed shots size tested towards win
This was a great win for us. I think we were anxious at first and rushed a bit. But we calmed down and played a great last 30 minutes. They're a very good team, ranked 19th in the RPI, so they're battle tested and very well coached. Their size and versatility make them hard to play against. I thought we did a good job offensively, especially running the clock at the end and getting great shots towards the end of possessions. Our defense still has a long way to go though.
against battle came continued east game good ncaa physical shooting team
This was a tough, physical Big East game against a team who I think will be good enough to go to the NCAA Tournament. Our shooting wasn't great, but Marquette had a lot to do with that, so we continued to battle and came away with a big win.
battle sets win
To be successful, we need to win the battle of the boards. It sets up everything we do.
advantage base battle size win
We had a size advantage. We have to win the battle of the boards. That's what we base what we do on.
area battle boards improve
We try to improve every game. We feel like we can get better and better. The battle on the boards (with Wisconsin) was tied, 32-32. That's an area we have to win, so we feel like there's always something we can do better.
ask battle boards five game gotten last left lose minute people rivalry teams time together
If you told me we were going to lose the battle of the boards by 11 and have it still be a one-point game with a minute left I would have been surprised. It's amazing. Every time these teams have gotten together in the last five years, every game has been like this down to the end. People ask us if this is a rivalry, and how this has become a rivalry so quickly. Every game has been a battle.
battle believed less lose minute remaining
If you would have told me we would lose the rebounding battle by 11 and only be down by one with less than a minute remaining I wouldn't have believed you.
days despite fact good last playing stressed three
We weren't playing well despite the fact that we stressed the last three days about getting off to a good start.
flight
We think he's going to be on the flight (Thursday).
good ncaa playing teams tournament won
They are an NCAA Tournament team. It was two very good teams playing out there. We won the battle.
