battle free good playing second teams throws win
It was two good teams playing well. They made free throws (11 for 14 in the second half), and we need to win the rebounding battle more than we did.
aaron against couple finished freshman great passes played playing previous sam second virginia west
Sam played well against West Virginia the previous two games. He finished well in the second half. He got great passes from Aaron a couple of times. He's just a freshman playing against seniors. That's why he's getting better.
aaron clock easy efficient good inside missed patience second shots wear
We were very efficient in the second half. We wanted to get it inside to Aaron from the start. We missed some easy ones early. Our patience was good in the second half. We used the clock and got shots at the end of the clock, which can wear down teams. We really had good clock management.
charge clearly needed second win
We needed to take charge and win the boards, and we clearly did that in the second half.
ability contain game half quickness second stay
What we were able to do more in the second half was contain their quickness and ability to get penetration. We just had to stay with our game plan.
again early half hole hurt improved rushing second
We were so impatient, rushing things offensively and that hurt our defense. We improved in the second half but again that early hole was huge.
guys half knew second strong team
We knew as a team that they were going to come back strong in the second half and our guys responded well.
against couple freshmen improved ready second teams three
We had three freshmen out there most of the second half, and I don't think many teams are doing that against this kind of competition. It's not to get ready to play in a couple of years, they're going to be out there now. Through 11 games, they've improved significantly, especially on defense, and you don't see that very often out of freshmen.
aggressive came exactly execute needed played second
We came back and played better in the second half. But we just didn't execute as well as we needed to. They were aggressive and that had something to do with it. But it was not a surprise. It was exactly what we thought.
game lose percent running second shoot tough whatever
It's tough to lose a game when you shoot 74 percent in the second half. We have to be better defensively. For whatever reason, we were running into their screens.
complaints-and-complaining improving second
We're 16-1. I wouldn't want to be complaining about that. No one would listen. We're getting better and improving every game. Even (against St. John's), we got much better in the second half.
call five seconds strange
The call on the five seconds was strange because there was no count.
against great second zone
We made some great adjustments against the zone in the second half. We had a little more penetration and movement.
adjustment handle second
At times we didn't handle (the 1-3-1 defense) very well. In the second half, the adjustment was evident.
