guy knew might pass
We knew that he might not get the assist, but he would probably pass it to the guy who would set it up.
ball court good guys passed played
I think we passed the ball well and got a lot of good performances from guys on the court and off the bench. I thought all of our guys played very well.
pass position understanding
He's better in every area. Carl's comfortable in his position and understanding of our system. That's a big step. It's one thing to know it, but it's another thing to pass it on to others.
passing shots
We made our first how many shots. Our passing was the thing. If anything, we got the shots we needed.
passing pay separate willing
Those are the things that separate him from the other guys, his passing and his touch. And he's willing to pay the price.
aaron against couple finished freshman great passes played playing previous sam second virginia west
Sam played well against West Virginia the previous two games. He finished well in the second half. He got great passes from Aaron a couple of times. He's just a freshman playing against seniors. That's why he's getting better.
guys kept passing shots
The guys just made shots and that was passing more than anything. We kept getting the shots we needed.
double finding great guys job knew open passes passing percentage shooting shows team
The great passes ... the shooting percentage shows the passing decision-making our guys made throughout. Great job passing it and finding the open guy and recognizing their double team (on Gray), which we knew they were going to do.
anxious battle calmed clock defense good great hard job last played ranked running rushed shots size tested towards win
This was a great win for us. I think we were anxious at first and rushed a bit. But we calmed down and played a great last 30 minutes. They're a very good team, ranked 19th in the RPI, so they're battle tested and very well coached. Their size and versatility make them hard to play against. I thought we did a good job offensively, especially running the clock at the end and getting great shots towards the end of possessions. Our defense still has a long way to go though.
defend everybody guard knows secret
We've got to defend and guard the perimeter. There's no secret there. Everybody knows that.
We've just got to keep doing the things that we're doing and keep getting better.
knew
We knew it would come down to the end.
against best compete guys people practice prove
We're not really out to prove anything to people. We play to compete. These guys like to play against the best people and they like challenges. They compete here in practice and it doesn't really change.
ability near progress
We're not near where we need to be defensively. We need to make significant progress there, but we have the ability to do it.
