This was really only our fifth game with everybody together this year. We're just now getting into a rhythm. With the (vacation) breaks we had, some players being ineligible and other stuff, we weren't able to put it together before now.

I enjoyed watching her play. She's someone you'd like to beat, but I enjoyed watching her. You could tell when she came in as a freshman that she was going to be one of those players and she seemed to improve dramatically this year.

We try to play the game on the practice field. Any time players can feel in a simulated-type atmosphere where it's like a ball game, they like it. Even though it's hard work and it's competitive and all of those things, that's our intent. Fun, or whatever it is, I feel like our players have worked really hard. I think that they've tried to embrace our style of coaching that we've brought.

He worked very hard to adapt to our system and I think that's going to be helpful to him a year from now. We tried to teach players how a pro football player prepares himself, which is different than how a college player prepares.

I don't know how much I'll be looking across at him. I think I'll be looking across at their players more than I will him. But Bobby Bowden is obviously a great football coach. He's won a lot of football games.

Football is a tough, demanding game. If you can't laugh a little, it can really wear on you. If I didn't laugh, I'd cry. You've got to be able to enjoy what you're doing. Whenever you can find a moment to lighten up a little, it's good. Our players are understanding how to do that.
There can be a lot of things that come from that. That's how you look at it.

To what level will he be at when he comes in here? I don't know that. I know this - he is very diligent about wanting to get started. He's chomping at the bit to try to get us to give him bits and pieces so he can get going.

Everything starts with him. If he has confidence and isn't getting disrupted, that whole offense has confidence and moves.
