came enjoyed freshman improve players seemed watching
I enjoyed watching her play. She's someone you'd like to beat, but I enjoyed watching her. You could tell when she came in as a freshman that she was going to be one of those players and she seemed to improve dramatically this year.
breaks everybody fifth game players together
This was really only our fifth game with everybody together this year. We're just now getting into a rhythm. With the (vacation) breaks we had, some players being ineligible and other stuff, we weren't able to put it together before now.
demanding enjoy football laugh lighten moment players understanding wear whenever
Football is a tough, demanding game. If you can't laugh a little, it can really wear on you. If I didn't laugh, I'd cry. You've got to be able to enjoy what you're doing. Whenever you can find a moment to lighten up a little, it's good. Our players are understanding how to do that.
adapt college football hard helpful players prepares pro system teach tried worked year
He worked very hard to adapt to our system and I think that's going to be helpful to him a year from now. We tried to teach players how a pro football player prepares himself, which is different than how a college player prepares.
atmosphere ball coaching embrace game hard players practice style though time tried whatever work worked
We try to play the game on the practice field. Any time players can feel in a simulated-type atmosphere where it's like a ball game, they like it. Even though it's hard work and it's competitive and all of those things, that's our intent. Fun, or whatever it is, I feel like our players have worked really hard. I think that they've tried to embrace our style of coaching that we've brought.
across bobby football great looking obviously players won
I don't know how much I'll be looking across at him. I think I'll be looking across at their players more than I will him. But Bobby Bowden is obviously a great football coach. He's won a lot of football games.
earth games imagine talked whatever
I've talked to her after games and she is just the most down-to-earth person you could meet. I can imagine just being her coach. She does whatever you need her to do to.
beaten fought guys second trust worse
I've been beaten worse than this, trust me. I like the way our guys fought back in the second half.
confidence offense starts
Everything starts with him. If he has confidence and isn't getting disrupted, that whole offense has confidence and moves.
art focus interested love museum northwest reason region traditions understand
I've always had a real love for Northwest art and some of the traditions here. Part of the reason I'm so interested in the museum is being able to focus on this region and really understand it.
bit bits diligent level pieces wanting
To what level will he be at when he comes in here? I don't know that. I know this - he is very diligent about wanting to get started. He's chomping at the bit to try to get us to give him bits and pieces so he can get going.
cuts flash power washington
Washington has got power to him. He's a stocky guy, he cuts and breaks, but he can flash on you. Booker's just got speed. They have big play potential.
cuts flash power washington
Washington has got power to him, ... He's a stocky guy, he cuts and breaks, but he can flash on you. Booker's just got speed. They have big play potential.
continuing game guys matter pressure rather reason three until wait
There's no reason to have to do it. I'd rather keep the pressure on. We won't wait until game day, though, but I don't feel any pressure to do anything right now. It's just a matter of the three guys continuing to work. I want to keep looking.
