We're excited that it's a Big East game, and we're excited that it's West Virginia. For 50 years, this game has been going on. These two teams know each other very well.

Making decisions all the time leaves less time to reflect. At the time I'm knee-deep in budgets, so today I just walked . . . through classrooms. I see the faces of the kids to clear my head. It helps them to be visible to me.

Football is a tough, demanding game. If you can't laugh a little, it can really wear on you. If I didn't laugh, I'd cry. You've got to be able to enjoy what you're doing. Whenever you can find a moment to lighten up a little, it's good. Our players are understanding how to do that.

It's one thing to go the day before the game when it's empty. It's another thing to go early enough on the day of the game where you can feel the atmosphere already a little bit.
